Biografía

Mauricio Henao (Armenia, Quindío, February 16, 1987) is a Colombian actor and model.

Mauricio grew up in Colombia until he was 12 years old, after which he moved to the United States with his mother and two brothers, to New York City where he dedicated himself to modeling in different local cities both in Europe and from the United States, coming to work with Nicolas Felizola, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Paul Joe Paris, among others. At the age of 25 he decides to go to Mexico City for an acting project.

In 2011, he filmed the new youth telenovela for Nickelodeon Latin America called Grachi, which was a success throughout Latin America, and at the end of 2011 he filmed the second season of Grachi, which premiered on February 27, 2012. In this project, he shared the scene with Isabella Castillo, Andrés Mercado, Kimberly Dos Ramos, Sol Rodríguez, Lance Dos Ramos, María Gabriela de Faría, Willy Martin, among others.

At the beginning of 2009, in the city of Miami, he began his acting workshops with his teacher Roberto Huicochea, who also helped him control and neutralize his accent. Shortly after 6 months, he had the opportunity to do a casting at Telemundo Studios for the project Where is Elisa? and he was chosen to play the role of Eduardo son of Catherine Siachoque and Roberto Mateos. Mauricio was requested again by the Telemundo Network to play the youthful protagonist in the telenovela Elphantas de Elena, where he shared credits with Elizabeth Gutiérrez and Ana Layevska. Mauricio recorded his third novel, Grachi, a magical youth story for Nickelodeon where he plays Tony and My Heart Insists. In 2012 he participated in Last Year, where he played Martin Santoro, alongside Kendra Santacruz.
